South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club
Sharing our expertise with our community
A robust access control system that can withstand salty sea air, has an interface suitable for users from age five to 85, and is cost-effective to maintain – that was the brief from South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club in New South Wales, Australia, when they asked for our help to replace their corroded and faltering system.
Not only did we tick every box, we also completed the installation within a day. With support from our partner Gallagher Security, which donated their SMB Access Control system that uses a pre-wired panel that allows for fuss-free installation, we provided the non-profit organization with a future-proof, cloud-based security system that offers:
- Ease of use – Club members with smart phones can use their mobiles for access. Those without smart phones can use fobs instead.
- Time savings – The user-friendly system enables the management to receive system updates via smart phone instead of going to the club to log in on-site. This saves them at least two hours per week.
- Remote access – Management can remotely unlock doors for early deliveries.
- Remote lock-down – Management can also lock down the club remotely if there is an emergency.
- 24/7 support – Gallagher Security’s R&D team provides support including advice on tweaks and improvements.
- Remote upgrades – The solution is automatically updated with the latest software and features as they become available, free of charge. The previous system required costly upgrades and technicians to visit the site.
South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club is dedicated to keeping Maroubra Beach safe and training the next generation of life savers. We are proud to have shared our time and smart building solutions to provide security to Club members and club visitors.
